| Getting people to give you FREE gifts to add value to your customers! |
|
One of the most potent secrets used by entrepreneurs is “Value Adding”. Value adding refers to the art of adding value to your offer, generally lots of value, at little or no cost to you. If you are able to do this, it will give you an “unfair advantage” in the market place. Quite simply, if you and your competitor are charging the same price for the same product or service, but you are giving x,y,z valued at $99 FREE with every purchase, the client will buy from you. Acquiring these FREE or low cost gifts to add value to your offer is not as difficult as you think. In fact, it’s quite easy. What you are ideally looking for are items with a high-perceived value that have little or no cost to you. Services and information products are often the best gifts when it comes to high-perceived value, low cost gifts. The question to ask is “What businesses sell a product or service which is very high profit?” Isn’t it true that virtually every business is looking for ways to get more customers? Think about it. If someone came to you and said, “My name is Joe from ACME Accounting and I am looking to send my customers to a quality provider or your product or service. I get approximately 100 customers a week through my doors and I have over 2000 customers on my database. I am selecting a range of local businesses that I can send all of my clients to. I am definitely going to be recommending someone in your industry and you were recommended to me. I am not charging anything for participating, but I am asking that the business offer a FREE gift or a special offer for my clients so that they will come and try you out? The better the gift the more likely they are to try your service. Are you interested in me recommending my clients to you on this basis?” You would jump at it wouldn’t you? So that is how you do it. Simply approach businesses in your local area and ask them to contribute a FREE gift or a special discount for your customers to try them out. Like everything entrepreneurial, you will have to educate them. Remember, you must now become an entrepreneur. You must be someone who is working on your business rather than in it. This is the exact kind of thing most small business owners don’t do! They never get out and do deals. You must in order to be successful. Just because every other business owner in town is stuck in their business hoping things are going to get better, doesn’t mean you have to be. |
